DO I NEED A SUBSCRIPTION TO ACCESS YOUMATTERGCHS?

No, everything provided by youmattergchs is free and requires no subscription. 

Are there any local support groups or organizations that you recommend for additional mental health resources?

Yes! Western Kentucky has multiple programs within Graves County High School and around the Jackson Purchase Region that can help everyone. We have a green dot program within our school that targets sexual violence, relationship abuse, and bullying where you can learn the signs and help prevent and aid in situations within school. ASAP Youth Council is an organization that helps prevent substance abuse and helps spread awareness to the issue. Graves County High School also has an Empower club that goes hand-in-hand with ASAP. We also have a student led club called SOS that helps prevent suicide and provides a support system to our peers. Within our schools we have counselors that can help guide you and give you the support you need in difficult times. 

How can i help my peers? 

You can help by being open, talking through their situation with them, letting them know you’re there to support them, and try connecting them with a trusted adult or program to make sure they get the help they need. Our blog goes into more detail on different approaches to take. :)
